Privacy Policy

DroidPods (hereinafter referred to as the "App") values your privacy and complies with all applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to protect your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects the minimum amount of information necessary to provide its services.

A. Information Processed Locally on Your Device (Not sent to our servers)

  • Location Data:
    • Bluetooth Scanning: To scan for Bluetooth LE devices (AirPods) on Android versions prior to Android 12, the Android system requires "Location" permission.
    • Connection History: If you use the "Connection History" feature, the App saves the location coordinates where your device disconnected from the AirPods. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to the developer's server or any third party.
  • Bluetooth Device Information: The App processes the name, MAC address, and battery status of your connected Bluetooth devices to display battery information and manage connections.

B. Information Automatically Collected by Third-Party Services

To improve app stability and provide advertising, the following information may be collected by third-party Service Providers (SDKs):

  • Advertising ID (ADID): Used to provide personalized advertisements.
  • Device Information & Log Data: Device model, operating system version, app crash logs, and performance data are collected to analyze errors and improve app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  1. Service Provision: To detect Bluetooth devices, display battery levels, and manage connection history (including location tags stored locally).
  2. App Improvement: To analyze app crashes and errors via Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability.
  3. Advertising: To display banner and interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except as described below for the purpose of app functionality and improvement. We use the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Locally Stored Data: All data stored on your device (e.g., Connection History, Location logs) is immediately deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data in your phone settings.
  • Third-Party Data: Data collected by AdMob and Firebase is retained according to their respective privacy policies and is automatically deleted after a certain period.

5. Your Rights and Choices
